Biography

"Hymns For The Architect" creates sonic liturgies, meditations, prayers, and instrumental songs for the seasons of the soul. Drew Brown serves as the principal songwriter and producer and finds ways to use the moniker to collaborate freely with artists, poets and community leaders to create compelling and sometimes provocative art pieces.

With multiple award-winning projects such as 2018's Advent album "X" and 2017's Lent/Easter EP "The Bright Sadness," - Drew led the listener thru darker and hope-filled moments of the church calendar.

With the album "Solace From Solitude," - he moves out of the church space and into a broader spectrum. This nine-track album consists of instrumental ambient music for the sacred spaces of quiet reflection, meditation, prayer and quiet times.

Those themes continued in 2020 with the releases of "X: Instrumentals" (which consisted of selected tracks from the 2018 album and new songs) and Waves Upon Waves, an album intentionally created for people coping with isolation, pandemic fatigue, and grief. The upcoming album “Everything Will Be Fine?” is a project with the

HFTA's projects are meant to serve as a sonic reminder to slow down, pause, and take a breath. As a result, Drew hopes the listener will make time to dive deep into the universe inside and around you.
